Bhargavi first trained under Lalitha and Haripriya. She was the runner up on a TV reality singing competition called Sapta Swaralu..

Sravana Bhargavi's first recording was for Boni. Her later contributions in Ride, Tejam, Simha, Khaleja, Theenmaar, Badrinath, Solo and Rajanna, .,[2]
